My computer keeps crashing while In game, Is my PSU bad ?

in game, could relate to heat
could be from bad driver, or hardware like your VGA
have you take a look at event viewer?

multi rail is ridiculous for todays hardware-not enough current, set it to single rail.
That depends on the size of the PSU. However, the problem with multi-rails is some power is always left in reserve on each rail. This means not all power can be utilized. Again, that is not really a problem if the PSU is big enough, but then it is a waste.

That said, there some very sophisticated PSUs that will automatically redistribute power from underutilized rails to other rails that need the extra power. But that sophistication adds complexity to the design, adds more parts that could fail, and it increases the cost of the PSU.

Multi-rail power supplies are great for some electronic applications where isolation and redundancy are needed. They were introduced into computer PSUs as a marketing ploy as such isolation and redundancy is not needed.
