is it possible that he can hear BOTH my voice (speaking through a xlr mic that is connected to a pre-amp) AND my sounds on my pc? im trying to explain him some things, but he needs to hear the sounds coming from my pc that is not through the mic... HOW should i setup that, if it is possible?

thanks in advance!

Well you just need the sound to play audibly through your speakers even though you're using your microphone. The reason this is disabled is because it causes an awful audio loop and feedback which is picked up by the microphone & back out the speakers and picked up to the microphone and on and on. There's an option in windows sounds under recording device or microphone settings that allows you to "listen to this device". Just be aware of the fact that you can cause the loop I mentioned above.obviously you won't damage anything aside from your ears and possibly give you a headache because it's terribly annoying

Also if it's just a system sound you want him to hear like one of the windows beeps or error noises they're all listed in your sounds scheme Under sound options ,you just need to find what you're looking to share with your friend

I've never used Skype before, but there also may be an option under settings to include system sounds
