My last Build, what else do I need?

Hey guys, in 3 months I will be leaving to the Navy for a long time [active duty] and I know I wont have a chance to keep my hardware crave going, so Im building my last PC and I want to go big, I will also sell my parts here right before leaving.

This is what I got so far:

CPU: i7 SB 2600k
RAM: 8gb pc1600 Corsair Vengeance
MB: MSI P67A-GD53
GFX: x2 6950 2gb modded
SSD: Crucial RealSSD c300 64gb [+ my older HDD's in from my old PC]
PSU: Same old TT Thoughpower 1200k
Case: Fractal Design Define R3 Case
Cooling: Crosair H70 [cpu], Accelero Xtreme Plus [GFX], bunch of generic 120mm fans for case.
Drives: Asus DVD+-R

-I dont know what else to get, but I still got the itch. Any suggestions guys?

Gakill ripjaws instead, corsair ax1200 instead, better case, and get the H60 instead Be careful with accelero it's rubbish at cooling vrns mine always crashes cos of it

why are you recommending the h60 over the h70? i thought the h70 had a bigger radiator and a similiar pump to the h60

To tell you the truth I am not a big fan of them pre-built sealed units . You can get far better cooling and better upgrade-ability when you go with some thing like this .

When you get an H60 or H70 you are going to be limited to just the CPU / Pump and RAD NO adding any thing ells at all .

the sealed units are great for people who only want to cool the cpu, or have clearence issues with tier board.. for instance, i have no wish what so ever to get into custom water cooling loops, but i love my h50. it also helps that the h50 easily fits onto my board, where most air coolers do not due to the retarded design of my NB heatsink

Thank you I was just looking at that, I do believe non-conductive cooling is also available right? I know dripping is rare but, I wanna be safe than sorry ><

Well yes there are some things that make it less conductive but not totally . thing is making sure you test it thoroughly and do it while your hardware is out of the case , That is really all any one needs to do . Getting past your fear of liquid cooling is just a matter of doing things right .

Thanks for the tip, will do. Also I already bought the RAM & CPU but I just saw that ShellShocker deal from newegg: 16gb DDR3 1600 Ripjawx $150.

-Should I just return the vengeance and get the ripjaws?

Wouldn't it be more reasonable for him to wait to build his system until he comes back (if at all possible) because by then there will be a much better selection and potentially significantly lower costs?

Not if he has the itch now . besides there is always a much better selection and lower costs , ALWAYS some thing new being put out even after the latest greatest this just arrived ! If you wait all the time then this is just what you end up doing all the time . Wait till this comes out or this will be out in 3 more months . So waiting sucks ! Strike while the iron is hot !

B. He won't have access to this Computer for a long time anyway, so applying your very same logic wouldn't it be worthwhile to wait until a time when his itch could be scratched?
C. His current system is pretty top-notch and upgrading to an LGA1155 system wouldn't see nearly the desired results of upgrading to a full blown LGA2011 system that would probably have 2 16x PCI-e lanes to optimize that Xfire ;p

A. I want to spend a considerable amount of money on this system, but I also dont want to break the bank; Mid-high end is what I'm aiming for. Plus the system will be for gaming mostly, not high benchmark scores. I know my current system can still handle the latest games but really I just got bored of it.

B. I wont have the time for a new system for the next 4-5 years, and a lot of things will change. So I want to have the best that I can today.

C. I love my current system, I had it for 1.5 years now. But since the time is near, I want to see what else is there and try a whole new system.
