... Or should I say my new problems with my memory.
Well for you all that saw my little comment on my new ram in this thread and are giving suggestions. Post here, instead of stealing that thread.
The ram is OCZ Platinum 2 x 1GB 2-3-2-5. First thing that happened when I set them to their rated timings, speed, etc... was get a nice pretty BSOD. Loosened the timings up, and got into widows and got some lovely errors. Tried BF2, well it was a waste of time. After a few hours of messing with settings, I got a seemly stable system, but it wasn't.
I now have the ram running smoothly at 333MHz 2-3-2-5 1T (rated at DDR400 2-3-2-5). They are in orange slots and have been tested in prime95 for about 3 and half hours. Haven't tested them individually yet, will do tomorrow. Just sick of playing with them for one day. I have a feeling that one of the sticks in defective. For my life I cannot get them running at 400MHz with the rated timings. Been at it for hours, trying different things.
Well if you want to throw suggestions, you're more than welcome. I'll get a few more things checked when I get my patience for it back. Already ran over 7 hours of stability test after stability test. If it wasn't for my quick urge to try BF2 at my settings now and playing a game of it, I think I would have cried. Well, I'm out for then night, hope others that got new hardware have had more success than me.
