i don't get it, seems like you're trading a fast gpu for a slow one to get a slight bump in cpu performance?

why not keep the 5970 and go to sandy bridge? why the 6870?

Oh I said that but people were like wthhhh, the 6 series is better although the FPS/performance is way lower than the 5 series.

The website from which I buy doesnt sell the 5XXX series anymore, probably have to go to ebay now...

what people? a 5970 is more than twice the speed of a 6870 while offering the same technology support. cpu power isn't going to help your games

Also Sandy bridge are called back due to a defect from what ive read in this forum. Wait to buy sandy bridge seriously !
