My PC does not turn on when needed (Very strange issue)

The problem is only the time is changing
if there is a total loss from the CMOS battery then even the bios settings should get reset right? which i'm not having bios reset issues, Just the time
Battery sounds fine, as I said previously make sure you are using the correct time zone, or set it to automatic.

Time Zones are correct and its under automatic

the prob is when working the time doesn't change

It only happens when the machine fails to turn on

Did you call Asus? Their customer support is pretty good.

Looks like Mobo is broken, if there is still time, better to exchange.

If it doesn't wake up from Sleep it might also be a Ram issue, do you have another set to test?

Nope,There is no physical presence in Asus in my country

So i would need to send the Mobo to the vendor for RMA, due to covid all shops are closed as well so have to wait :(

well no bro
But if its a ram issue at-least it should give a BSOD right?

Anything shorting something on the motherboard ?(motherboard mounting studs, perhaps a stud where there shouldn't be one?, slot covers, IO back plate etc). At this point I would test the board outside of the case (on the motherboard box or something non conducting and non static) with a bare minimum of components and wires needed to actually run the system (CPU&cooler, a GPU, only one RAM stick, power but no case headers). And if you have the option, try with a different GPU, try GPU in a different PCIe slot, swap to the other RAM module and so on.

Also, while out, inspect the board both sides for any bent header pins, bulging/leaking caps, missing SMD components, burnt spots, component legs not snipped close to the PCB, CPU socket and CPU pins and so on.

Are you running a dual boot with Windows and Linux?

Board issue.

Well Yes think so :(

just get that onto a thumb drive and run it for 10 hours (dont have to do anything, just leave your pc turned on for 10 hours)
then check if its got any errors

that would rule out the --possible-- ram problems

Ran Memtest no issues found
i kept the machine on for more than 24hrs (8 hours of memtest and rest is playing games / keeping the machine idle)

Did everything (even change the casings) but no luck

Mobo seems to fine as well (no pin damages/ leaking caps etc..

Nope

so, it's not the PSU, nor the ram, nor the graphics card, nor...

Its has to be the cpu and/or mobo issue then

Hi, I have the exact issues as OP with identical symptoms. Was a solution found for this problem?

@anuhas hasn’t logged in since the above post >2 years ago. I’d guess motherboard, maybe cou, like others here. Could be wrong.

Fir your situation, you could start a new thread for us to work though trouble shooting with you.

Please don't resurrect old post to troubleshoot your issue. Instead start a new post and fill in your system specs and state everything you've tried to resolve issue.

Not only do many people that participated on this thread previously get a notification, it's hard to keep track of what questions have been asked and answered from you, not knowing we should start looking at post #36 instead of post #1 as things progress.
