what can you do with a cpu cooler that needs a more secure way of attaching itself to the motherboard?

i have an intel retail cooler that the push pins wont hold it in place so how do i attatch it?

EDIT: i didnt push hard enough on the pins, i forced em in further and it holds now (i figured there was no way the holes were the wrong size lol) but my board has a very noticable bend in it.(1/8" arc from pin to pin) will definately look for cooler with a better bracket somewhere, this one looks way too tight, im scared the board will crack.

sorry about the bad post but im a noob at this mounting system having been used to the 478 boards.

You could always custom make your own plastic bracket for the backside and use bolts to hold it on. Wouldn't be too difficult, just gotta make sure everything lines up right. Peek around at some of the other brackets out there to get a general idea. Also would be a plus on the case mod gallery. :)

I really dislike the Intel mounting system, but I haven't had any problems with it. I am using the exact saem setup as you without issue.

just go to your local hardware store and buy some long screws and some bolts

I could guard the door why you install it. j/k , sorry.
