Need a new mouse!

I've had my G5 logitech mouse for 2 years and its been beaten around literally and it is still 100% functional  .. So definitely take a look at logitech's offerings as they are quite good. Although the Saitek mice look alot more tempting.

^^ I'm guilty of beating my mouse too :(

So I have to agree with Random when it comes to the durability of Logitech mice.
Well the MX518 and the which are quite similar.

So yeah they're relatively rage resistant.

I also quite liked my G5.

The MX518 is a good mouse but has some prediction / angle snapping. Same thing goes for the DeathAdder. Both are great mice.

There are also the new Zowie mice which are quite yet a little flimsy. They have two models with the same sensor, but in two different sizes. It also has some angle snapping.

The obvious choices are:
- IntelliMouse Explorer 1.1, 400 DPI no prediction.
- DeathAdder
- Zowie EC1/2
- MX518

Guys jus gimme ur opinions...
I bought this g500 mouse 4 months back from a shop. I heard a lot of gr8 things abt it.But now particularly i am a sniper in cs and i get a lot of -ve accel and its very heavy for my hands.I use a cloth mousepad and don wanna waste xtra bucks for a new mousepad wich wud gimme same problem. The dealer gives me a years warranty, so its been four months .Is it possible that i can get replacement of the g500 for the g400. I have the receipt from where i bought the mouse.
my dpi res are 400,800,1000

That's up to the store, not up to us! :p You'll have to ask them. My guess would be that they will not be open to swapping it out for a new G400. Warranty is different than return policy. Warranty is usually against manufacturing defects that manifest within that time frame.

Try, taking some of the weights out of the tray for the G500, and turn mouse acceleration off in your games. set and use the DPI settings from the Logitech control panel to compensate.

thats what i did at least and i have had no problems at all.

(I only have 3.5g worth of weights inside my mouse. anymore and it would be too heavy for me)
