So I just bought and paid for tickets to go abroad. I did everything on-line.

I received an email with a link to print the tickets which I have to produce on embarkation.

Now this link doesn't open up at all. I tried Chrome and IE. No go.

If I choose to save the file it's in .aspx format.

I tried opening up using every program on my pc but it either refuses to open or I get a load of jargon symbols.

I googled the problem and found that .aspx should work if I open it with any browser whether IE, Chrome or FF.

Why isn't it opening up for me?

I'd appreciate quick replies... because I just paid a lot of money and wouldn't like to lose it! :(

What do you mean the link doesnt open up at all ? Do you just get a white blank page?

Is there no way to contact the ticket provider/s and/or travel agent/s?

Hope you get it sorted BP :)

I just get a "loading" symbol at the bottom left of the page. But the browser would be stopped. Not loading at all.

But there is a way to open up the .aspx file?

i have no idea but try checking your browser settings to allow scripts and what not. Either your browser is blocking the content or there is an authentication issue on the server you are trying to access.

You can try to look at the source of the ASPX page, but that might not do you any good if the page is being created dynamically (highly likely as it is pulling ticketing information from a database or something).
Are you blocking cookies or popups (or whatever) that may be interfering with the page displaying?

I just read if you have the file, as in not in the browser linking to it, you can rename it and see if paint or something will open it with a .jpg or .png

Tried that. And pdf, doc, notepad, wordpad... :ohwell:

I either get this type of jargon:

†¿¡ƒþ`pØ?GGÃýà”¶^qŽ»u|ÔKk ªºØt‰‘¢ 0 s¨‹¥ø}ëø÷m/¥ ûså— Þš2{g+æïº0j] œJ“ú ¶@Ž—wèk~7¾šähú¸X¢Ï9z˜Ã •èÍl^–0Äï“O?æ_üí 9ÉG°†ì t7{ ~ŸsX”£ëüa4_>¯åxêÍÍ0

or it doesn't open up at all...

Is it a secure link? (https:// ...,)

Just contact the vendor you purchased the tickets from.

This should be resolved (waiting to hear from BP).
The site was creating a PDF and giving it an .aspx extension so nothing would open it (and why it was "gibberish" when viewed).
Changing the extension to .pdf allowed it to open in Acrobat Reader.

right, but she should still contact the vendor as they are using a garbage system.

This. Asp scripts are ran server-side like PHP. Seems like you might need to contact them.

It worked fine for me in the browser with the Acrobat Reader plug-ins installed.
I sent her the .pdf and she still could not open it. :wtf:
Not sure why it's not working for BP.

I'm still using Reader 9 (9.5.2 to be exact) but any version of 10 should be fine too.
Maybe she has 8 or earlier on the computer she is using (shrug).

Anyway, TPUCapture to the rescue. :)

It could be a scam.

It's not a scam.

It's just a problem with her computer.
