Ok, my friend wants to sell his 9800 GX2 so that he can buy some ATI cards, and he wants to know what he should be getting for it.
It is a Galaxy 9800 GX2, and he's been using it for about 3 weeks. It is not overclocked in any way, and he still has the box, anti-static sleeve, power connector, drivers, instructions, and the little wire that we dont know what it does, all in perfect condition.
The card is also in great condition, and has been kept nice and cool.
I dont have any pictures yet, but since I've built his PC I know its a great looking card; black with green decals.
So, what should we sell it for if I were to put it in the "buy, sell, give away" forum?

I would say 80% of it's original value as it's fairly new, he could probably even sell it as new on ebay and make more.

350$ seems right. It beats the HD 4870 so it should be a little more.

We've already tried eBay, but I think his lack of skill in making a good sale page, combined with his refusal to sell it at less than $500 meant it didn't sell. I'll try and convince him to put it back on eBay for $399, and make the page myself, and see if that sells.

The card will not get more then 70-80% of what is is worth right now... It's a big pain to see a card like that go down in price like it did... I know, I was hit with it... But, thankfully EVGA has the Step-up and I was able to grab a GTX 280 for nothing... He might be able to straight up trade a person for a 4870, but that is also a hard thing to grasp if someone doesn't like Nvidia..

The KFA 2 goes for around $369 at newegg.. so around $350 and you probably have a deal... But, anything more and you might not get anything for it...
