I dl'd it! It r0x!! Graphics are awesome. Runs on maximum no problem. Shame about the limited customisation on the demo, but all round an excellent game to look forward to.
 
Havent tried it yet.
Might just need to dl it tonight.

Just as an FYI.......
Demos arent hard to run on max settings.
This is bc the demo is obviously a scaled down version.
Therefore, graphics are as detailed, the demo is smaller to load and all together less stressful on a system.

For example a lot of people were saying that their X800 and X850 cards could easily run the FEAR demo on max settings, but couldnt do so in the retail game.
The above was the reason this was occuring.

I've only enjoyed two NFS-games: NFS2 (oh, man, what a blast that was :D) and Most Wanted. We'll see how Carbon is.. I hope it's more like Most Wanted than those horrible Underground games. OK, they're not horrible; I just REALLY hate all the "j0 I've got a lightbulb under my car and that makes me pr0n"-gizmos in it. I will get the demo soon, when I have time.

For an old classic, try NFS Porsche Unleashed. For online racing, try NFS Hot Pursuit 2. Both available in $5 bargain bins. Recommended.
 
Downloaded Carbon... and although the cars lok great in the title screens, to be honest, I'm pretty disappointed with the gameplay and in-game graphics. Nothing to keep your interest here. Move on.
 
I think it owns. Looks great. I love the lighting, and autosculpting feature. Can't wait to "buy" the game *wink* lol
 
Any idea on how to get this to run in widescreen?
 
This is what I do for the 2142 demo. Right click on your carbon shortcut and enter +szx 1280 +szy 1024 at the end, replacing 1280 and 1024 with the resolutions you want. Hope it works :D

update physics and the engine has been updated. the MW engine was new and didnt allow for night detail, so this has been rewritten along with other bugs in the MS engine.

Yeh... for example, the sky scrapers in MW are gold... also the motion blur has been reduced marginally (i hate it... it cant see shit). Its a bit different i realised but like it feels nearly the same. The cars dont understeer like crazy (remember the M3? you start it up and then your car just four-wheel burnouts) Its a good game; no cops. Like the tuning options ARENT limited. I think you can get Full tune-ups like Need for speed underground2.

I just hope that carbon WILL have a lot of cars to choose from as well as huge tuning options.

I reckon NFS:C should enable cars to download from EA.
 
I cant turn on the motion blur, the option is just grayed out :wtf:
 
Yeah thats what I thought, but tkpenalty was just describing it compared to NFS:MW, yet he has a 9550 :confused:
 
I think it sucks. They should really change the gameplay.

that's because you only have a pixel shader 2.0b video card. pixel shader 3.0 is required for certain effects reason for options being greyed out not supported..game runs great on x1800xtpe but the graphics and gameplay sucks.
