Need for Speed Carbon Demo released

ohh yea im running oblivion on a 9800 pro maxed out 1600x1200 x6 anti aliasing x16 anisotropic filtering with hdr.

Another horrible EA title. I would avoid this game at all costs unless you are a big underground fan. This has to be the most arcadish title yet released for NFS.

x1800xtpeown keep the language down or you'll get banned.

Meh, I usually play the game because they do such a good job on the engine sound effects. This time it's overburdoned by tribal style japanese crap. It's not obvious that this game was based off of F&F Tokyo Drift or anything...

If they could just make something like Forza or Gran Turismo with the engine sound effects from NFSMW for example it would be great.

Nothing like the sound of a blown (by that I mean a roots supercharger) American V8.

I cant turn on the motion blur, the option is just grayed out :wtf:

It can't run 24 bit pixel depth buffer O_O??? Man the motion blur is supported by 9X series and above for ATI GPUs. No, it still has motion blur in NFS:C Good thing is that the game is less laggier than NFS:MW which doesnt have specific graphics settings like NFSU2 and NFS:C have.

I've only enjoyed two NFS-games: NFS2 (oh, man, what a blast that was :D) and Most Wanted. We'll see how Carbon is.. I hope it's more like Most Wanted than those horrible Underground games. OK, they're not horrible; I just REALLY hate all the "j0 I've got a lightbulb under my car and that makes me pr0n"-gizmos in it. I will get the demo soon, when I have time.

NFS2 was good yes. Only one i really liked. The music went well with that game.
It's one of the few racing games I actually liked. Road rash is another :D

hey guys,
I have downloaded the free demo of NFS Carbon from EA site. But I was using a Windows XP SP1 and the game crashes without even loading. So when I read the minimum System requirments I downloaded SP2 from Microsoft site and installed it.But the game did not work
My computer specs is
Intel pentimum Dual core 3.4 with a 4mb cache
and 1 gb memory
and Gigabyte motherboard 8I945G with a 128MB video card built-in.
Can anyone tell me what to do to have this game running.

Buy a video card.

Buy a video card.

why buy a video card.
NFS Most wanted and FIFA2007 are working on this integrated card.I don't think that the game sends a "Send Error problem" because of the video card.I think if the problem in the Video card the game will run but in low performance. But the game crashes without even begining its load.

What do you mean by "crashes"?? If you click on something like say...BF2 with integrated graphics, the screen will go black, and then go back to the desktop again, indicating your hardware is not capable of running the specified game. The same may be happening with Need For Speed.

Played it this weekend and I loved the autosculpting tuning style, you can easily spend 1 hour+ just tuning your ride. Thing is the demo version won't save any of the settings......

I don't think the graphic is any different from the most wanted, but the performance is a lot worse. my rig only averaged 30fps @ 1280*1024 with all details maxed out and no aa af. I would expect the retail version to be more optimised.

I run the retail 1280x1024 all maxed out with 4xAA and 16xAF :wtf: I don't use motion blur though, that's it..

Hey Guys,
I am having the same problem as LostKnight2701. From what I have read of the system requirements for the demo, my setup should be more than enough. However, when I try to run the game the screen goes black and then it goes back to the desktop, and a "do you want to send an error report" box comes up. I have tried several things but nothing works, and I don't think it's the file cause this one came from EA and I have tried 2 from different sources that have done the same thing. Any help anyone could provide would be wicked, I really want to see what this game is about.

Why dont you put your system specs into your profile! ;)

How does it run @ them settings? How many fps you get?

Sorry, I can't remember my system specs, its a dell Optiplex GX280 with a pentium 4, 40GB hard drive, 512MB RAM, not sure what video card I have but I know it ain't exactly shit. Just got the computer in May of 2005, will be getting a new one next may. Hopefully this will help someone figure it out for me. I am running Windows XP SP2, and I just upgraded my direct X to 9.0C

I ment for your profile, its just curtious, especially when you have just joined and your asking for help, you should speak to dell or ea, it could be anything!
