There was a little discussion about NFS: Most Wanted when it was posted over in the Game Deals thread.

In case the game does not load full screen use Alt+Enter

No worries! :toast:

The Origin client could be worse, but I find it terribly disorganized. I won't even get in to Origin's storefront. It's going to take a lot of free games before I'd consider using it on an even remotely regular basis.

I wish it was NFS Hot Pursuit 2010. Now, that one had amazing multiplayer (even though they abandoned game after 1 patch). I love the way how cars drifted through corners. It looked simple to just glide around the corner, but it took really long time to master this. To connect drifting through corners with charging of nitro. There was one car that was stupendously overpowered, the SL65 AMG, but me and one more guy specialized in Aston Martin V12 Vantage. It was few steps worse than SL65, but with superb drifting, fast nitro charging capability and amazing agility, we beat most racers like they are nothing :D I really miss that game. Have to get rid of the stupid DRM and see if people are still racing this gem.

As for Most Wanted 2012, compared to original Most Wanted, it's a very watered down NFS. Only enjoyable thing was just driving around, finding cars around the open world. And it ran like crap. I think I had HD6950 back then and it was stuttering and lagging like crazy. Still, since it's free, why not.

I have Hot Pursuit 2010 and grabbed this title. Both feel similar in that there are so few options. The menu systems are a mess. I couldn't figure out how to switch teams in HP 2010, or type to talk to the other players. Same issues with this game. No options to disable traffic, enable higher density. I feel that after 2 hours I've done everything there is to do in Most Wanted 2012. There is an open world but there isn't much to do or see. The map reuses props/areas at an alarming rate, and there are few off roads. I recall the 2005 version at least had interesting places to drive, like in a multi level mall. Much more interesting than a bunch of roads.

As far as I can tell, you can only race, randomly find cars, and run away from the police. It is a racing game but it just feels so limited and pointless. I don't see much of a desire to go around finding many cars and then doing the same thing over and over again to upgrade them.

Again, online was a mess. Joined up, no idea what anyone wants to do. Host sets up a race. Race starts with half the players pointing the wrong way.

For free it isn't too bad. Maybe I'll get another hour or so of fun out of it. Not sure if I'd buy an NFS title though.

Appreciate the heads up!

:),

Liquid Cool

There was 2 more copies left,i think. I got one. One more left.
EDIT: My bad....that is the game update.
