So i'm looking to upgrade from LG 23MP65.

I'm going for:
  • 1440p
  • 144 Hz
  • 27 inch (no higher than that)
  • G-Sync (optional but preferable)
  • Please no curved screens
Couple weeks ago i found a perfect one, one that i liked everything about - LG 27GL850-B, unfortunately couple days ago store i was looking at went out of stock just as i was about to buy it. And it's not returning on stock, everywhere i looked it's out of stock now (I live in UK), few buying options on Amazon, but all from 3rd party sellers which i don't trust with such expensive things and need to be able to return it without hassle if something is wrong with it.

My 2nd option is Gigabyte Aorus FI27Q.

Any other recommendations? Any downsides on options i picked?

Can only advice you to stay with LG . they are very good and durable..
I have frameless LG, dont remember numbers , very happy with it.

My advice for a gaming monitor in 2020 is to look for these things:

1. Real 144hz and above.
2. Real 1ms GTG response time. Double check on that as there are many monitors with fake specs.
3. HDR since a lot of games seem to support it.
4. Resolution of at least 2K.

You dont really even notice the curve when youre gaming. I actually prefer it. But not on a TV.

1500R seems to be ok, based on the "temporary" screen I bough to use while stuck "at home, away from home".
Not sure I'd want anything more curved than that though.

The LG doesn't seem to be commonly available in the UK, for some reason.
If you don't mind ordering through a German company, these guys have it in stock.
