BUDGET: 300€ for the CPU and like 2-300€ for the motherboard, I live in Italy, so Amazon.it
PURPOSE OF THE BUILD: Mostly gaming and small tasks like browsing, streaming
ITEMS YOU NEED/ALREADY HAVE:
- Already have: 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz, RTX 3080, Corsair SF860, AXP120-X67 cooler, Meshlicious case
- Need: CPU and ITX Motherboard
OVERCLOCK OR NOT? I won't overclock

Hello everybody,

I need an advice for a CPU and ITX Motherboard. Here in Italy we don't have a giant hardware market and Amazon.it would be the only (direct) store that I would buy thanks to their great warranty.
Here for eg. a 7700X and a 245KF have the same price of 299€, a 9600X is at 334€, a 9700X at a whopping 468€, a 7800X3D at 544€.

ASUS just opened the pre-orders of its Intel B860-I motherboard at 299€, their AM5 B850-I is priced at 349€.

I just checked cheaper Gigabyte AM5 motherboards but they have only 1x M.2 slot and since in a SFF PC space is gold and I would like a second slot.
The ASRock AM5 Lightning boards with 2x M.2 are unfortunately not available nor sold directly from Amazon.

I don't want to consider previous LGA1700 CPUs due to their microcode problems or AM4 since it's a dead socket. About the AM5 longevity I really like the concept but I don't think I will ever afford an X3D CPU in next few years, I see myself more inclined to upgrade the GPU if I will have money to throw again on hardware.

Can you help me?
Thank you!

7700X anyday then. And, cmon, B650 will do. So, choose what you like. I'd reco ASRock for price&features, same as Gigabyte, then MSI, then ASUS as "most priced and OVERpriced at most".

Do you have RAM already or is it outside of that 300EUR budget?

IF you have RAM already, I'd get a 5700X3D and a B550 motherboard which fulfills your needs. If not, Alex posted a good recommendtion above.

I'm sorry I didn't write clearly in the main post, I already have the RAM.
Thank you for your replies.

The ASRock B650-I is not availabile directly via Amazon, and it's priced at 251€ via third party sellers.
The Gigabyte B650-I is very cheap at 175€ directly from Amazon, I guess I have to accept the 1x M.2 slot.
The ASUS B650E-I at 303€..

If you have any other motherboard ideas let me know :D

One last question: the 7600 is 100€ cheaper, is the 7700X worth for 100€ more?

For your case and cooler 7700 non-x looks like a better choice. I agree with @AleXXX666 about B650 instead of B850, especially since your RAM is 6000MT/s.

Btw I saw what you wrote about LGA1700, but the 14600K(F) looks like a steal right now (and probably isn't affected by the degradation fiasco at all) and even decent Z790 boards can be found at 200-250€.
Edit, obviously you are looking for an ITX motherboard, but there are still options.

245k or even better, a 13/14600k if it's cheap at your region.
