4770k is not locked (up to 68x multi) and ideal ram freq. for it is 2133mhz.

The thing is that I cannot find that specific 280x in my country... I need some online stores preferably at EU.
But what about OC the GPU? Will SAPPHIRE TOXIC R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 have an edge over Gigabyte GeForce GTX770 2GB WindForce 3X OC (always at high resolutions)?

If you are planning on overclocking the 4770k I'd recommend an aftermarket CPU cooler. The stock intel one that comes with it though should be fine otherwise though, maybe able to handle some mild overclocking. The Sapphire version is even better than the Asus one I mentioned. It will definitely beat an equivalent GTX770 at resolutions above 1920*1080 and should be on par or a little better than the 770 at 1920*1080 in most/all games due to having a solid factory overclock.

I am afraid that I am going to end with hydro cooling. :ohwell:

I am not very optimistic with so much overclocking and so many fans. Maybe an air-conditioner is cheaper than so many fans!! xaxaxa. Also I was fan of NVidia thus it's disappointing that I am gonna go with ATI again.

Get a close loop cooler for hassle free (I am not a big fan of those), or custom loop (which will set you back by quite a lot of monies).
