I have a suggestion for a Micro ATX case if you are in too see threw. Look at the Apevia X-Qpack 2 The outer shell of this case is see threw on 3 sides. Also the outer shell feels flimsy. But when I built a Micro ATX gaming Machine. I was able to get over that down fall really easy. It can fit higher end PSU's. Also has over twelve inches for a video card. Has temp reading on the front. Room for a 80mm fan and 120mm fan stock. Can be modded really easy. Also can fit 3 HDD. Can hold 2 5.25 Drives. Also has removable MOB tray. Fairly easy Micro ATX for Cable management too.
Yes there are better built and sturdier Micro and HTPC cases out there. But I have owned a few different types even more expensive ones( Rouge Exc....) but I keep coming back to these. For the money you pay you get a lot.
At least that's my opinion....... I've heard others say they hate them too.

Your mATX with a scalding NB wasnt a DFI:confused:

Yes it was. A DFi Lp Jr. 790GX. I also had a Gigabyte 770 AM3 that had a scalding (even more so) NB.

CC bud my bad I didn't read that........ But NP free cases are the best cases! But other wise go for a P55 board w/SLI or Xfire and a i5 or a AMD AM3 board and a Phenom II. Grab a 5770 with that and some other odds and ends and you'll be good. MOB I would go for anything ASUS or Gigabyte. Those always have been the best two to me. As far as preference of video cards...... I've always been an ATI guy. and CPU's I'm using a Intel at the moment...... But I also love AMD...... so to each their own on that one. Building HTPC's are fun I have built many of them. But it is very difficult when doing cable Management so don't get frustrated so quickly make sure you take a deep breath with it. But other wise I wish you the best of luck and please post picks when done:)
