I have as follows:
Dell Dimension 8200
Intel Processor
Memory 1G
Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 Video Card
Windows XP Home - SP2
Santa Cruz Turtle Beach Sound Card
THX 5 speaker with subwoofer by Altec Lansing system
I want to get a new video card and want to know which is the best for my money and if it is compatible with my system.
Someone told me to get the 6800GS, but I found so many different ones that I did not know which to get.
I saw that the XFX 6800GS got a fantastic review, but again there is more that one.
I think the one I would want has 256MB, TV-Out is HDTV, Memory Clock of 1250 MHz, PixelPipelines of 24 and Core clock of 450 MHz.
I think it is the PVT70FUNF7.
The other one is the PVT40BUDF3 which has less than this one in everything. I figure why get less, when for a few dollars more, you can get more.
Is there another one called the XFX 6800GS besides these 2?
Very confusing.
Can anyone help me to decide?
It seems that every time I want to get something, I research and am still unhappy when I eventually buy it, because some how I made a mistake and it really did not do what I expected it to do.
