Okay i have a Power Color ati radeon x800 gto pcie card that was working great on either windows xp 32 or 40 bit professional. Well, i went ahead and formated my drive and placed a fresh copy of windows xp pro 64bit again. well, now the card is not recognized in windows 64bit i tried doing this three times now and i cant figure it out...

i went ahead and installed all windows updates for 64 bit. i then installed the latest ati drivers for 64bit but doesnt work .. it says it installed and reboot when i do and it restarts nothing changes . i go into the settings and all i see is vga display controller also, when i go into hardware i see standard vga graphics adapter not ati.. and when i try to update drivers doesnt work .. when it goes to do the catalyst it says cannot find inf file.....but the funny thing is if i install windows xp pro 32bit , it works fine. i can install the drivers and everything lol.. any help ? thanks

could it be the driver vga disply controller??? i am using a dvi lcd monitor

Maybe you got a bad driver download? Try redownloading them?

Have you tried downloading the driver direct from the powercolor website?

its the 64bit os.if it really bothers you ,install xp 32-bit,or try modded drivers
