Need some help

Hello,

I have recently bought a Dell Vostro 3550 with a 2nd gen core i3 with integrated intel hd 3000 graphics. While I did not buy this laptop for gaming I do like to play some games, like diablo 2 for instance. My problem is that I cannot stretch the 800*600 (4:3) to 16:9. I managed to do this on my last laptop which had an intel 4500MHD. However I don't seem to be able to find this option in the graphics options. Ticking letterbox to widescreen scaling in the graphics options menu does not seem to work. Is there a workaround, as I really hate those black bars on the side of my display when I play older games that don't have widescreen support?... any input would be appreciated!

Hi,

you can use D2Multires to modify the resolution and add widescreen support to Diablo 2, but if I remember it correctly it's only for single player mode and works only with the 1.12 patch but not with the newest 1.13. So you will need to downgrade to 1.12 if you now on 1.13.
