I am looking for some coop FPS games that support 2-4 players minimum. I have found a few that support 2 players, but can't seem to find many that support 4.. I would prefer newer games, and ones that let you play the campaigns in coop mode. Any ideas?

Unreal torniment

Urban Terror

There old but still playable on most pcs .

they require a server for network play or the internet for online play .

Borderlands is a blast with 2-4 people in co-op. I just started playing that again, still a very enjoyable game after a couple of months of no play (bc2 took over).

Borderlands
Serious sam HD (1/2) - or even the original versions
rainbow 6 vegas 2 has 2 player coop
left 4 dead 1/2

Thanks for the ideas. I am going to try Borderlands this week I think, and Rainbow 6.

+1 for borderlands. Simply one of the most addictive games I've played in a long time and playing co-op is near perfect when you play with good friends.

The Left 4 Dead games are great for 4 player co-op.

Also try Joint Operations and the best site and sefver will be with the Hardmaps guys. Great bunch of people as well and you can have upto 20 on their server

Arma 2
Would like to say OFP2 but they messed the the game up with no dedi and server setup and a bunch other other things.

Ghost Recon i know it's old but if ya check around there are some sweet kick ass stealth missions that our group and others used to make for that game.

L4d series
CoD WaW Nazi Zombies: over 100 custom maps and 10+ mods(changes gameplay, adds weapons) and a few maps that contain both a mod and custom map :)
borderlands of course
UT3 The Haunting mod (or something)
killing floor

hey whats your Borderlands ingame name? so i can add you :)

Kane and Lynch...not the best title, but it does work split-screen coop on one pc.

Killing Floor is one of my all time favourite co-op games.

Exactly what I was going to post. Given good teammates, I enjoy this game so much more than the L4D games. The good variety of weapons and perks along with all of the custom maps gives it a lot more re-playability than almost any other co-op FPS I've played. I just wish it didn't feel so much like a mod for some other game.

As it was said above:

Killing Floor (one of the best coop ever made), no campaign at all, but very awesome shooter.

Borderlands

Left 4 Dead 1/2- has coop campaign for 4 players.

Tom Clancy's: GRAW 1/2- (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but GRAW1rocks even today, IMO. Very first Ghost Recon is also good) Campaign has no saves, and all death will take next alive AI for control of player. Also, online OGR cooperative mode, is awesome, and many ppl making new maps.

Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six: Vegas 1/2- (I play 2 part very often, but first R6 parts are also good enough, and made not for dumb-asses) Vegas1 has 4 ppl coop campaign, but it would take off AI team-mates. Vegas 2 campaign coop includes always 2 your AI team-mates, and only 2 players.

Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell Conviction.

Unreal Tournament III- 4 players coop campaign. Also could be played vs bots (consider coop)

Joint Operations - No campaign at all, but there is coop of to 32 players vs bots.(and 150 max online players, usually 64-128)
Synergy- almost all Half-Life 2 series games, could be played in coop :rockout:, including campaigns of HL2 itself, EP1 & EP2, (and could be played also on other different maps, and modes)
Garry's Mod- alot of fun :D
Operation Flashpoint 1&2 (OF1 had no campaign in coop, but there are tons of maps and editor, that makes possible to create every coop you want. and IMO is the best warfare simulator ever made) OF2 DR has coop campaign up to 4 players.
ArmA 1/2. (ArmA 1 is almost same OF1, with a bit better graphics, but much more uglier physics and more glitchy)
Call Of Duty 6: Modern Warfare (or Warfail :D). No Coop campaign at all, but there are alot of coop maps, for 2 players.

I know, that Gears Of War is third person shooter, but it's (IMO) best coop ever made, and simply is Bad-ass awesome game :nutkick:

And there are many mods, for different games. Such as upcoming coop for Crysis.

Sorry for trolling, but I wished to give detailed info.

SWAT 4 is my favorite co-op game. Have fun clearing rooms online with other dudes, and great weapon selection. Custom maps are great!

SWAT4? Sure! How could I forget about it. Very nice game. Still looks awesome, even being 5 years old. Also reminds me of Black Torn. Requires tactics and brains, because every wrong turn, costs many points, or could be way of fail. And this game seems not requires monster hardware.

Call of Duty:WaW has a GREAT 4 player co-op for both single player and Zombies.

Exactly why I love it! I can almost play it on my netbook!

Did they actually get the loading of COOP games speeded up ?.. I got it on release and loading a COOP game took way to long. I remember them releasing some thing that speeded it up some but way of being enough.
