Hi i'm looking to upgrade my pc to be able to play battlefield 3 at least on high settings my current config:
intel C2Q q9300 stock 2.5ghz
4GB DDR2 400mhz
fsp 300watt
geforce 9500gs
22 inch monitor max res 1680X1050

i'm thinking about upgrading the psu to Fsp AURUM CM 550 and the gpu to AMD radeon HD6870 or a Geforce GTX560 Ti will that be enough i was thinking about building a new system but i really don't have the money to for it.

Best Regards

I see you thinking right, some good psu 500 is OK, and sure you gpu can't run this game so 6870 will be good.
I see if you run it on high smoothly you need to overclock the cpu a little bit, just try to hit 3.0ghz or use good cooler to hit 3.4 it will be great.

What motherboard you have ?

If you have a good motherboard that allows you to overclock a little the CPU can be good.

A GTX 560 and new PSU is that enough for you, resolution is fine too...

I will recommend you to upgrade.
