Hi please help i dont know what to do:confused:.Is it worth ditching my board which useses ddr 2 ram for a ddr 3 board.will i get much benefit from it or is it a wate of money? i use my pc for gaming and video encoding

you will get very little benefit going to DDR3.

Agreed it will help with the extra bandwidth but not as much. Now, if you want to go ahead and get it to go to a new proc and what not, that is cool. However, Id stay with what you have.

I would just get a better graphics card, if I were you.
I'm happy with my rig on DDR2.
I decided to skip upgrading this generation.
I'll wait for the 8 core procs and the HD 6970 :D
