So I recently bought a new GPU which should get here Wednesday, but I noticed that it only has display ports. My monitor is the BenQ XL2411Z at 144hz. Before I consider canceling the GPU I Ordered, will a cable such as this one work at 144hz? I couldnt find a definitive answer so I thought posting on here could help. Thanks
EDIT: Should mention I am getting the GPU on Amazon cause I didnt know how long it would take to get it from Nvidia, never ordered from them before.

EDIT2: I cancelled the zotac amp to get the reference from nvidia as I didn't want to also buy another monitor etc etc. thanks for everyone that helped guess I'll have to learn to over clock to get the same performance the zotac had :(

Zotac 2060 amp. I would but I don’t want to buy new monitors. Can this cable help me get at least 120hz?

Buy the hdmi to DP cable I linked above. your monitor should have a hdmi port. or did i miss something when I googled your monitor? Monoprice/Amazon maybe cheaper for DP to HDMI cable If you have a microcenter there you can grab a good one there too.

Will my refresh rate problem be fixed? I am hoping for 144 or 120 since that’s what my monitor is capable of

For 144 Hz, you'll need DP or dual-link DVI. Just get this cable and be over it.

Your monitor only supports 144 Hz via DVI-DL and doesn't have DP input. You'll need DP to DVI-DL adapter.

So i take it you tweaked the setting under windows display properties? Or even the monitor? They were set for 120 or 144? What were you getting before?
A Proper Quality cable should fix that issue. I had my 390 pushing 144mhz refresh on my Acer XF270H monitor.

@Regeneration If you googled the Monitor you would have read that he has no DP port on monitor. Alittle research first before firing off suggestions. DP to HDMI cable I linked will work and he can find it on Amazon or ebay. Just buy a quality cable. I see you edited your response.

HDMI will not work. That monitor accepts 144 Hz only via DVI-DL.

OP will need DP to dual-link DVI adapter, or HDMI 2.0 to dual-link DVI cable, but that's not guaranteed to work.

I will stand corrected after reading the whole spec sheet from Benq, yes the DVI-DL will work. HDMI will go to 80/83. sorry @-1nf1n1ty- for leading you to the hdmi cable the club3d dp to dvi-dl cable will work better for your stated refresh. But I digress to the settings of the monitor. Did you set the monitor refresh in both Windows/Adapter settings and on the monitor itself?

I think you're missing the issue lol. I am getting a new GPU, I already am using 144hz on my current GPU which is an R9 390 I know how to set it all up, I am trying to figure out once I get my new GPU that only has DP and HDMI, is there a way to achieve 144hz without having to purchase a new monitor? My monitor does NOT have display ports, it has a DVI-DL and HDMI. IF its more trouble than its worth should I cancel my order and get the one from Nvidia instead?

edit: I think it's too late to return the item anyway....awesome

the one from nvidia will have the exact same outputs, I would keep the gpu and try to advance to a modern monitor, try to sell yours or trade it in with a computer store.
