Hi,

I already have an old set:
i5-4570
Asus Z97-A
Crucial 2x8GB DDR3 1866MHz Ballistix Sport
SLI EVGA GTX 970 acx 2.0
Corsair CS 650W
Acer Predator XB271HUbmiprz G-Sync, 165Hz 2560 x 1440

For now, I am holding back on buying completely new equipment (for 2-3 years), but I was thinking about replacing the graphics card.
My expectations is stable 60FPS with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and quite reasonable graphics settings in new games.

What would your suggestions be? I do not want to buy a card that will be a bottleneck on such a platform.

Does it even make sense to play?

I would not go past something more powerful then a 1660 super. It will play games from a few years back at 1440p and most modern games on medium-high settings (if not better) at 1440p but if anything holds you back from 60FPS in modern games it will be the CPU.

Your CPU will be a serious bottleneck. You could buy something on the second hand market (e.g. GTX 1080 or Vega 56 for ~$250) because buying something powerful and new and running into bottlenecks won't be too much fun.

Motherboard Gigabyte AORUS PRO X570
Cooling Corsair H150i Elite LCD XT
Memory 32 GB Corsair Vengeance pro RGB DDR4 @ 3600MHZ
Video Card(s) AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT

Power Supply EVGA Supernova 750 GT 80+ Gold
Mouse Logitech G600
Keyboard ASUS ROG STRIX Flare II Animate
1660 Super / Vega 56 / 5600 XT at the most I'd say.

CPU will hold back anything more powerful.

1440p 60 fps on a 4570 might be a struggle without sacrificing some quality settings in game.
