New IPS monitor with blurry shadow like edges when looking at angle

If I look right side by angle, (while keep eye level at center of screen) the right edge becomes blurry so right part of scrollbar becomes blurry.

If I look bottom side by angle, (while keep eye level at center of screen) the bottom edge becomes blurry so bottom part of taskbar becomes blurry.

Etc... every edges become blurry if looking at angle :(

Do IPS monitors have blurry shadow like edges when looking at angle?

Can you tell what monitor you have? What resolution you are using, the graphics card you are using and the drivers version?
Viewing from an angle for certain monitors can distort the picture. That all depends.

This is an IPS model and it would seem that some distortion when viewing from different angles can occur. Comparing IPS to TN is not a good idea if you look at the viewing angles.
Have you tried adjusting settings to mitigate the effect of blurry edges? I'd suggest searching for reviews of this particular model. I assume this is a new purchase?

So, I have some Dell 1080p IPS displays in the attic that will do this, but the LGs I use don't. Both are IPS panels. I doubt that it's a unique phenomenon to IPS displays but probably has more to do with how Dell handles the backlighting in their displays. Also FWIW, I do have a 4k LG that also does it, but you really have to be at a pretty extreme angle to notice it.

Are there perfect edge monitor in 2020? My 2006 TN monitor have perfect edge monitor, shame on DELL. I am thinking returning this monitor and try used monitor or bestbuy in future.

I don't think it's the backlight (it can't distort pixels), but rather the protective sheet(s) on top of the display. Maybe there's some sort of exfoliation at work?

@tech1235 Yes, I expect most monitors are "perfect edge".

I don't think it's exfoliation because it's consistent along the entire length of the display on both sides at extreme angles. It might not be the backlighting specifically, but rather how the light is refracted at the edge of the panel when looking at an angle.

Basically what I said: shoddy work on the protective layer.
