new mouse needed

I like my sidewinder X5, but it is for people with BIG hands. Used a G9 before, its awesome. The other gaming grade mose I have touched is the Razer Mamba, while good I think it is not worth it.

Would recommmend either the G9, sidewinder X5 or everyone's favourite G5/MX518

Thats why you get the CM Storm Sentinel Advance Gaming Mouse instead. :D

Thats what i said earlier, everybody ignored it! :(

They are ignorant in there mousing ways! I shall smite them down like the CM Storm moto, "Designed to Search and Destroy!"

Thats why I have it in my crosshair! For the moment, I'm stuck with my a4 tech x6 "shiite" edition ;)

the CM Storm Sentinel is a damn good mouse too. I forgot about that one.

Actually, the G500 seems to be the replacement - at least for the G5. best buy has it for the lowest price I've seen anywhere @ $39.99

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Logitec...102970726&skuId=9423527&st=9423527 &cp=1&lp=1

Here's the same at Newegg for $56.99 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104318&Tpk=g500

Sorry to quote myself... just got the G500 from BestBuy @$39.99. Actually I got TWO of them, one was an open box but looked perfect @ $34.99.

They are in my car and will be trying them out tonight :)

Edit: Here's a Dec 8, 2009 review from OverclockersClub: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/logitech_g500/ - They are loving the thing.

Dang I want that G9, wish bestbuy had it in their stores. Why don't they have it in stores?
I'm guessing it is not in stores for pretty much the reason most of the more enthusiast type hardware is not. That would be because we are but a fraction of the industry and they may sit on the shelves for quite awhile before one of us comes in with $50.00 to drop on a mouse. Its like selling water cooling kits there just aren't that many people into their PC equipment enough to justify stocking the shelves with them. This is why most are custom built or ordered online.

People are just peddling their own mice in these threads. Read reviews and then decide what you want.

Reading reviews is a good thing, just like reading here it is that persons opinion with what facts they are able or willing to share. Obviously we have nothing to gain by recommending what we have found through trial and error to work good for us. Unlike some review sites that get kickbacks from the mfg. This in my mind does not necessarily guarantee the whole truth. If 50 people respond the G9 works great and 2 or 3 say they prefer something else I would be willing to say the G9 may not be perfect for everyone but the odds are your going to like it.

+1 I personally only read reviews to get a slight idea of the product. Feedback from the community is better, now even that's flawed because of bias. Only you should make your decision whether or not you like the product.

Thanks a bunch for all the info and suggestions everyone, now to figure out how to get one :)

I think peddling requires you to be selling something. :slap:

I have a g9...it works great?

hello guys.. seems alot of person suggesting Logitech G9. I have been going through couple of reviews myself in the recent past. G9 actually seems to pretty good... but its a costly option too.

Well I made up my mind to get a Razer Deathadder instead just coz G9 was out of my budget. You may like to go through this following link

These guys have some statistics figures relating gaming mouse (very very rare for someone to do for a mouse)

Although I finally bought Logitech G7 as I was a getting a good deal. $40 is really good for a gaming grade wireless mouse and that too from Logitech and it has great reviews everywhere. But now the deal has expired.

Well its the same price on my local online store, to that of the CM Storm Sentinel Advanced Gaming Mouse and it doesn't have nearly as many features as it. However if the Razer Deathadder is a good price wherever your buying, thats fine. Its a good gaming mouse if you can find it for $40 then its worth it. ;)

Also, are you getting the V2 version?
