newegg has gotten real slow!!! ARGHHHH!!

Rush processing is a waste, 90% of the time the order ships the same day anyway, so why use rush processing?

I put an order in Tuesday 2/2 at 3:30 PM, and it shipped Wednesday 2/3 at 11:30 AM, no rush processing required...

Usuaully when the order is hung up in processing, it is because there was a problem with the payment. A lot of times I've had to contact the bank because they've denied the charge for one reason or another(usually because the shipping address isn't autherized when using "bill to ship to" addresses.).

I cancelled the order after calling this morning and being treated like an idiot. aking if I have ever bought from them before etc etc. now they tell me it will take 5 business days till the $$ goes back to my account!!!! 5 business day!!! it took them 20 min to take it out!! but now 5 days o put it back!! meh maybe i am over reacting and newegg is great idk but i ordered at tigerdirect 20 min after cancelling and guess what?? my order is shipped with a tracking number 3 hours later! will be here tomorrow!

The time it takes for funds to return to your account has nothing to with anything they can control...its going to take time to pend and drop off, its just how credit works.

I love Newegg. I live close enough to them that everything ships overnight to me just for paying their 3-day standard service.

I know I'm not a big spender there but I've spent thousands of dollars there over the years. That rush shipping fee is mostly for afternoon orders.


Oh and to the OP; any company even a brick & mortar store will not give you your money back on your credit/debit card instantly. Most times it takes up to 3-4 business days.

I think you are just going ape shit cuz you want your new kit. I'd be upset to.

You know, now that I read the situation a little more...I think the problem might have started with you not even giving them 24 hours to process the order before calling and complaining.

Personally I've never had a problem with Newegg -- if I get my order in before 2:00 PM CST, it's at my door the next day. the only other vendor that I've ever had that good of service with was CDW - which I still use for my server purchases.

well I got an email from a head supervisor of sales at newegg! they gave me a gift certificate, free upgrade shipping on my next order, and an apology. seems there was a mess up in their system causing the order not to process due to them trying to bill my prior address even though I put clearly that my address was was the same on my billing and shipping address. feels good to be right! I knew there was something fishy about the order not going through I just wish the lady had told me that was why then instead of being rude to me. and the email stated she should have as it was noted order to contact me due to this mistake.

Like many here, I've had only great experiences with the Egg. But with the best of retailers, there are always hiccups here and there. It just plain happens. For every person who's run into trouble, there are thousands who are pleased with the speed and ease of ordering at Newegg.

I think he was refering to all the stuff he bought for himself. I sure there's plenty out there who build rigs off of egg hardware and give them hundreds of thousands in business.
