Even if you save a profile to usb stick it won't work with different bios versions
I'm perfectly aware of that. :kookoo:
also as to the issue of profiles not saving it could be a hw issue since it persists between dif versions of bios and after troubleshooting.
It wasn't the issue of profile not saving, i was using it for months, but the issue of BIOS's own decision to delete the saved profiles.
What is the point of your reply, defending MSI?

What's the point of your reply? Trolling? I meant it was a hw issue with op's build not yours, also MSI aren't perfect but I like them FAR more than asrock, gigabyte and asus especially for motherboards, bios is super easy to use and except for one faulty bios all have worked flawlessly for me.

If your bios is deleting random profiles and the issue persists through troubleshooting and different bios versions it's a HW issue. RMA.

Sorry for the Necro but I was just googling this for myself and we popped up. Anyways I just OC my RAM to 3800 and of course AGAIN tried saving a 2nd profile besides my "stock" one.
It won't save more than one. I believe it has "6" saves I always tried to just use #2 obviously but decided to try the others at random and NOPE reboot and just #1 is all that stays saved...
We are obviously many BIOS and AGESA past this OP and well nothing has changed

I had a MSI X570S MAG Torpedo Max but returned the motherboard just before the cooling off period was ended. MSI fixed the OC profile bug in the beta of 7D54vA3 when I complained about it.
Also found two anothers bugs but MSI refused to fix it.
  1. If you clear the CMOS, it no longer stops during the POST but directly continues to boot into Windows which is quite annoying when you are overclocking and need to reset the CMOS due no screen. Give me the option to load the defaults or a saved OC profile but instead it directly loads the defaults and goes into Windows when the CMOS is cleared. This MSI "feature" or in my words "BUG" was introduced in 7D54vA2 :banghead:
  2. When configuring Curve Optimiser, it sets the wrong PPT/TDC/EDC limits when on auto. The descriptions states it would use the AMD defaults but that is not true.

I don’t have any real complaints about the board except for that really I’m on A4 and with my 3D obviously OC options aren’t available. I know what you mean about the CMOS issue I’m sure I’ve had it myself. I was just on the latest Beya BIOS but i had to totally reinstall my windows and i had issues with RAID on it and it was constantly throwing the Memory error Beeps so back on A4 and while it was a total PITA to get my RAID back running properly A4 at least worked properly again. But still only saves Profile 1 …

Check if it is possible to save on the odd numbered profile slots. My MSI B550 can save UEFI profiles only on #1,3,5 and cannot do so on #2,4,6. I have contacted MSI and they couldn't reproduce or find a solution.

I actually tried 3 as my test actually, no joy.

That for me is the most annoying thing about a cleated CMOS/BIOS flash. The rest of my settings I can whip through in like a minute. Disabing onboard sound, Spread Spectrum, enabling SATA RAID(big problem on the latest Beta BIOS) and for my 3D KomboStrike
I run all my case fans off the board and set them all in the BIOS it is truly the most tedious part of all of it. I feel like I get them “just right“ only to have an update and in t case a VERY troublesome Windows reinstall(with the RAID issue I had was forced to delete 2 out of 3 of my game drive’s losing probably 100 games) I just moved from an apartment with Gbit fibre to internet hell that is wifi internet in area with absolutely horrible signal and a max speed of 50Mbit when it’s running well that’s an understatement because even running well it “bounces“ around down to like 1Mbit. Game installs that used to take minutes now take hours To make matters worse the deal with the landlord is we split that 50 so I’ll be stuck with 25.. thankfully that hasn’t happened yet and he’s away for 2 weeks so I’m trying to install as many games I like to play as possible while I can because I lost almost all of them
Ironically the one drive I didn’t lose was a an 850 QVO I use JUST for MS games WELL that FINALLY stopped forcing you to format an MS games drive and it actually found my FH5 so that was 100+GB I didn’t have to wait a day to download I also keep a few CoDs I enjoy on it too(I just play SP) so again i had the 2 latest on it so that was another 200+GB I didn’t have to wait forever for again.

There was also an option to save the fan profile on drive, so with a previous BIOS I've now saved the fan profiles on USB stick and was able to load the profiles from the stick the last time I've updated the BIOS.

I may have to poke around and see if that’s still possible because I would love to be able to do that. But right now I’m still tweaking them for summer and well starting over again when I did have them pretty dialed in…

Sadly no I couldn't find any way to import my fan profiles but I did save my current OC profile(just my RAM at 3800) Now of course we all know this is useless if there's a BIOS update(which should be soon there's a Beta out now that was a HUGE headache) Yes I run a very aggressive curve....
