Nintendo GameCube Prototype From Space World 2000 Expo is Rediscovered

We had a GameCube, but one day came home to our house burglarized, and it was one of the things that walked off, along with my Xbox 360, laptop, and 27" HDTV (which was quite expensive at the time). The Mrs loved the gamecube games, which also disappeared. Zelda, Paper Mario. Fun games that didn't need premium graphics to look good and play well.

That really sucks man. We recently installed motion detection cameras outside our house, instant text message to phone, etc. I know that stuff didn't really exist back then though.
 
The GC was my comeback in the console world.
Buy it first day with Burnout ...
Some of the games didn't age at all !

burnout 3 takedown is prob my fav racer of all time. that game was amazing, i played it on ps2 though.

As an added bonus, the wii supports component video out, and unlike the gamecube, component wii cables are dirt cheap.

Not true, but sort of true. Some models of the GameCube had the high def output and could be used with component cables. There weren't a lot of GC games that supported the 480p output though.
