I finally got my new build up and running, only problem is no sound. My mobo has onboard audio, but that wasn't working so I put in my soundblaster PCI card and still nothing. I tried different PCI slots, I made sure the card was set as default for playback and recording. I looked in the BIOS to disable the onboard audio, but couldn't find anything. Windows says the device is working properly, but if I try to use media player, it says the device is not working, or being used by another program. There are no other programs running though. Any ideas?

Do you use the correct drivers?
Creative has many of them and sometimes it's not easy to find to right ones. Check back the Creative-Code (ct-number) on your card and then look again on their site.
