Noctua finally made good on their desk fan idea

Did you buy one?

No, this is just for amusement.

only an assclown would buy this.

noctua is like a cult now who is gonna spend so much on a simple fan... noctua users
But the quality bro..

Noctua makes great fans, but the price for this thing is to steep.

So how much will i actually pay for it?

This gave me an idea, maybe 3D print a support for one of those PPC3000 fans, complete with a 12V battery. Would make a killer portable fan.

missed opportunity - they should've given it the noctua color scheme. It's not available on Amazon but it shows $100 historical price. Another fan that has a cult following is Woozoo's fan. It's $47 on Costco/US website. I just want an onlyfan that blows

I already have something like that made from a old Koolance 120mm fan, two wire grills, a 5v AC/DC Adapter, and a wood block with some right angle shelf brackets. Its been cooling my router for about 10 years now.

To me this desk fan and whole Home series with even more stuff of doubtful usability is more merch for fan(boy)s than regular products. Who the hell has ever wanted all kind of things to mount pc fans outside pc? Simply there will be few pc enthusiast finding this stuff nice addition to their rooms and Noctua will charge them all well.

It's like they have base offer, so coolers and fans - like all competition. But then whole Chromax line priced like they want to bully ones not liking their classic colors and accessories balancing between being "cooling voodoo" and maybe somebody finding something useful and worth it - all kind of not selling much, but high margin products.

I suppose this means Thermalright will be releasing a more powerful one for $20 right?

Eh, I have 5 sets of that, but at least that I have a fan that is multiple times stronger and quieter (at the same time) than generic branded cheapo desk fans my colleagues are using while being barely above the noise floor on my office. Eh, yeah, I'm a bit snobby here.
No, I only bought 5 sets of the stand (which is ridiculously sturdy but expensive, but I do have some use for that) and the accelerator thing (well, I don't have a 3D printer).
And I stuck one of that with a T30 and it really goes jet engine brrrrrr.

If you have a 3D printer and/or some fabrication skills, you don't really need to buy anything from Noctua to do the same thing though.

Now add a tiny misting apparatus on the fan and you can call it a Hoctua fan
Oh shit, you just made a new name for Noctua..

AsRock has Assrock, Asus has Assus (boooo), DeepCool has DeepAss, and now Hoctua.. perfect.

I did not see that coming from a mile away jeez XD
Also DeepCool could be DeepUnCool (especially after the sanctions)
On the subject of a desk fan, I think I'd want a 3D print that would turn a 120mm fan into a fume extractor for soldering.
