Hi all, new here and to all the OC, not going to OC yet as i want to read up on it a lot more before i think about even giving it a try. Well i have this ASUS S96F laptop here, i know its an intel CoreTM Duo but thats about it really. Well anyway what happens is When i turn the laptop on it trys to boot but doesn't and gets stuck just over a 1/4 of the way through the "intel" sign and wont go any further, I've unplugged the battery on the board to see if the bios would reset but nothing. Does anyone know why this is and a way of fixing this problem? Any help i would be really great full. Thanks for your help and time.

You might be having hardware issues. i'd run memtest 86 on it and see what you come up with first.

Memtest86 is a bootable dos environment that will test your ram for errors.
Download the iso and burn it to a blank cd. Put the disk in the laptop and restart it.
Make sure it is set to boot from the cd drive before the hard drive. You can change this
by pressing the delete key while it is posting, and changing the "boot device priority"

Well that will be no good as it won't let me get into the BIOS, is there any other way of trying this memtest86?
Thanks.
