i have seen a lappy cooler that has the choice to use USB or a AC/DC adapter. I can't for the life of me remember the name or where i saw it.

If any thing like the cooling on the Dell inspiron 1764 under is input and left side output. Don't really matter anyways you can flip the fan in the cooler anyways :).

If using a AC usb hub maybe try some thing like this one
Thermaltake Massive23 LX Notebook Cooler Model CLN...

Or the older version
Thermaltake Massive23 ST 23cm fan Notebook Cooler ...

Which with the right adapter i guess you could plug in to it as the power cable is detachable.
