notebook cooler

Hi,
placed an order for Dell inspiron 15r (i3+5470 512mb+2gbddr3+320gb) yesterday...wish to buy a cooler for the same....checked many sites ...found that the cooler is taking electricity from usb of laptop.... is there any other way to give power for these notebook coolers ? please help guys :respect:

Well, if you have an extrenal usb power supply (like 3 pin wall to usb) then you will be able to use it.

wow mate...that is a gr8 idea ....how to avoid dust? is there filter available with these coolers..found that there are two types of coolers...one will push air in to notebook ...the other type will take hot air from notebook ....which one to take?
Also
please suggest me a good coolermaster cooler ........only coolermaster is available in online Indian sites

i have seen a lappy cooler that has the choice to use USB or a AC/DC adapter. I can't for the life of me remember the name or where i saw it.

Out of the Cooler Master's I like this one best because it can draw air from the bottom & sides, (nice to have side air induction if it's going to sit on a bed). It also has a mesh over the fan so it may help reduce some of the dust too, just take a can of compressed air to it every so often. From Ebay India:

If any thing like the cooling on the Dell inspiron 1764 under is input and left side output. Don't really matter anyways you can flip the fan in the cooler anyways

If using a AC usb hub maybe try some thing like this one

Or the older version

Which with the right adapter i guess you could plug in to it as the power cable is detachable.

That one looks pretty good too. The adjustable fan speed is a nice feature, you don't see that too much on others. It also has side (rear) air inlet. Just avoid the ones that don't have the side air intakes.
