I have software that uses a HASP hardware key that plugs into a parallel port for anti piracy. I need to use the design software on my notebook, but the key needs a parallel port to plug into.

I bought a USB to female parallel port cable, but it does not work.

Will a PCMCIA to female parallel port work, is so where can i find a cheap one. Newegg has one for $50.

Is there another way to get the key to work?

That sounds really odd.

I'd contact the manufacturer of the software and ask before spending 50$ on an adapter.

h8 to say it, but time to look for a H4CK. I run so many h4cks on software I actually own, due to DRM/AP issues

The PCMICA adapter should work. If not, i would tend to agree with Lemonadesoda. I have no problem making the software that I bought work by any means necessary.
