hello, simple question probably been asked before but i can't find anything on it (my search skills suck)
im using windows 10 ameliorated, which does not have the microsoft store, and from what i understand its supposed to install the control panel with the driver automatically, as the tweak setting has been removed.

i tried reinstalling but it doesn't seem to work. what can i do to ensure control panel gets installed when i use this tool?

It should just work. Which driver version are you installing?

Hmmm .. I just tried and it installed the control panel just fine.

Try to install it manually:
Use the "show in folder" option, then browse to Display.Driver\NVCPL, you should see the control panel files. Use powershell add-appxpackage -path to install it

it kinda just tells me that the location isnt avilable.

if i try to make a folder in temp for it to put stuff in, it opens a empty folder when i click show in folder.

windows 10 ameliorated has no windows store, thats why the nvidia control panel never installs.
This. ^^

@imcasey why are you using this Mickey Mouse hacked by a third party Windows?

You can't even keep it up to date as Microsoft Update has been ripped out, so no security updates, or bug fixes. Not to mention that you don't know what malware has been embedded in it. Seriously bud, wipe it and install W10 downloaded directly from Microsoft then optimise it if you want.

the project its actually good and its open source, the bad thing is that its kinda outdated

Maybe their changes are, but windows is not, which is sort of why being outdated is bad.
its actually only a year behind and when you use the install scripts you have to also install SSU and Cumulative security updates before, so it's really fine.
also, UAC is protected behind an administrator password that you have to enter which makes security better.

I did use a clean windows 10 install directly from microsoft and optimized it via the open source amelioration scripts :)

windows 10 ameliorated has no windows store, thats why the nvidia control panel never installs.

as a workaround you can use the AME script to install nvidia control panel:
Releases - amecs - Gitea: Git with a cup of tea (ameliorated.info)

this worked and is actually very helpful overall, thank you!
(i don't think i have permissions to lock this thread since my thing was answered unless this isnt a type of fourm to do that in.)

What am i missing? The link is down :(
Edit: oh...that'd be exactly what i need however recent versions recuses me to proceed prob because my Ameliorated install is older than this script. Then i tried v1.4 and similar (all of them are available trough Ameliorated's official github, i hope they're all the same) however i get "Download link is invalid". Great.

Yes, that's where i downloaded and tried yesterday.
However i got my own solution. Had to fetch a NVIDIA .appx separately by providing their MS Store link trough https://store.rg-adguard.net/, and install it trough PowerShell since AME breaks the App Installer. Let me know if you or someone else needs help with this fix because thid website is iffy for acessing the download link
