I am using raid 5 currently with 3 older 200gb seagates and I need to increase my space to at least 1.5 to 2 terabytes. I am using my onboard Nvidia raid for bootup raid 0 and storage raid 5. Raid 5 is a bit slow I know unless I spend $300 plus on a controller card which I may in the future. For now, should I go with 2 large drives in raid 1 or just go with 3 in raid 5 and upgrade the controller card later? Is there an advantage with raid 5 over raid 1 with the onboard Nvidia controller? Thanks in advance.

I was thinking of buying some drives tommorow. Just wondering if its better to go with raid 1 or 5 on my onboard Nvidia controller. Any thoughts? Thanks.
