Crypto was just one factor. Up until Ampere, the MSRPs were going up anyway. Ada is the first generation to curb that. Sure, the 4070Ti's MSRP is still higher than the 3070Ti's was and 4080+ are in "unobtainium" territory. But for the mid-range, it's still the first time I see a move in the right direction in years.

So, 4080 isn't it, 4070 isn't it, we don't have the reviews of RTX 4060, so you're basing this on a single card, RTX 4060 Ti - that still has the worse price / performance than RTX 3060 Ti - it beats it by only 12%, while being 25% more expensive?

I'm dying to try RTX and even DLSS first hand. I might recommend myself a 4060Ti, but I'm still really torn about it.

RT works on AMD, too. Instead of DLSS, you could just use FSR. The latest iterations aren't really different, anyway. Nvidia wants you to think it's worth the extra money by fancy slogans like "ecosystem" (which is used wrongly here), but AMD cards are pretty equal at this point. Sure, there are a few DLSS only games out there, but so what? Upscaling is just an aid anyway, you're not meant to run it when your native framerate is high enough. I, for example, just lock my framerate to 60, and never even think that FSR or DLSS exist.

Sure, i mean inflation is way down, but prices didn't come down, it won't unless you get deflation.
Saying MSRP's went down after crypto and shortage is a bit misleading, because they were so artificially high.

Yes, that is the right direction. After the initial launches (4080 and 4090), Nvidia could have gone on and release the 4070 at $900 and 4060 at $600-700. The fact they stopped their initial madness and released the SKUs at the prices they did give me hope they may be on a new trend.

The only way they're ever gonna be on a "new trend" is if people stop buying into their "ecosystem" bullshit and realise that Tensor cores aren't worth the extra money on a consumer level.

DLSS and especially DLSS3 seems amazing, but FSR is great too, and RT is just a gimmick that seems to go nowhere, few games, bad implementation. I have to agree, the tensor cores aren't worth the extra money for sure.

What a... Wait for moment. A 3 year between generations? This is pathetic. I remember times when see new generations every year. Not so long ago.

And I remember when new GPUs came out every 6 to 8 months. 2yrs roughly now so don't see an issue with a 3yr gap between generations considering how expensive and complex that they've gotten.

Things aren't getting weird, they've always been like that. No matter what, there is at least a small portion of users that must buy on day 1, with little-to-no knowledge about the product. Corporate marketing must cater to them, too.

If I could ask Mr. Huang one question, I would ask him: if you knew GPUs are only going to get bigger and bigger and at the same time you knew current hardware can't push RTRT too far, why did you pick the moment you picked to bring RTRT into consumer space?

This is long PCB with special sector for SSDs. I lose my look for advantages for gaming. Most of PCIe controllers still in CPU I/O chip...
