i plan to buy a 55 to 65 inch tv display which use for netflix and movie the sitting distance about 2 to 3 meters ( 7 to 10 feet ) i prefer to buy the 1080p one for saving some cash but i don't know that if DSR could help me to 1440p on that tv display or not ? i have'nt used any tv for years ........

afaik, i never got DSR to work on my 32" TV (hence why i got myself a nice and cheap 32" 1440p screen ) tho it did work on my 27" 1080p screen (used it to test 1440p impact on my current rig )

I wouldn't bother with DSR, as the picture will look terrible since you can't cram in more resolution than the display can support.

It's best for seeing how big screen elements would look on a particular size of monitor and benchmarking your graphics card at those resolutions. For example, if you're interested in going 4K and want to know if your favourite games will have a decent framerate at 4K with your current graphics card, then it's great for checking that out.

i'm using a 43'' 4k monitor as my main and i intend to buy a tv just for visitors + family to watch movie while i'm playing game or doing stuff on my pc ........

Then you definitely don't need DSR on it. :)

i mean i will use my 43'' monitor but also the 55-65 inch tv with DSR for other ppl with netflix

DSR is still pointless, as I explained. You won't see any extra detail and will instead just get a blurrier picture.

read above "and if you still insist on treating friends and family buy only if you can return (free of charges) if unsatisfied ( you will be)
