NVIDIA Finds a Clever Way to Boost DLAA Adoption—To Turn it into a DLSS Preset

It's a fairly small overhead still though, somewhere in the 8-10% kind of range vs native. It'll depend on your GPU, the target resolution & refresh rate, the game etc. but most of the time for me it's definitely worth that.
Yep, but it can also be a fairly small improvement to image quality. Like you say, depends on the hardware, the game, the settings etc.

If you have headroom to spare, you should definitely turn it on.

Does this mean there's a way to turn on DLAA on Modern warfare 2:warzone even though its not an option in the in-game menu?

If it has DLL v3.1.11 then yes, not possible with DLL v2.x

How long will AMD hold out against AI graphics techniques. Like it or not Nvidia's DLSS is a much bigger selling point than FSR and overall works much better at lower resolution. And they have nothing like DLAA. Now FSR3 may be great, but when? AMD is not even launching 7800XT until September at the earliest. will they release FSR3 sooner?

ah good ol MSAA, good memories.
recently replayed some older assassin's creed games with 8x MSAA, good times, even tho MSAA was hard to run with age appropriate gpus

A solution to this, at this moment, is using DLSSTweaks from https://github.com/emoose/DLSSTweaks , you can find Binaries / DLL file on NexusMods: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/550?tab=files , worked well for me , you can enable DLAA in some games after the tweak and the option will show up in the game or for the others that dont support enabling DLAA you can just set the render scale of any DLSS option to native resolution, basically DLAA.
I am also using it sometimes to create a higher rendering resolution for DLSS for the games that i have sufficient performance and i want a better image quality , im going with 87% of the native (i think quality DLSS is 67%) , the feeling is that it looks better but it can also be just placebo :) , with this settings im getting a little bit more performance than native and some sort of DLAA :)

The fact this update will also apply to DLSS 2 as well, goes a long way to making 2 act similar to DLSS 3. This bodes well for people with a last generation gpu and means gamers such as myself, won't have to run out and buy a 40 series card considering I have only had my 3070 ti for less than a year. Still I will have to buy a 40 series in a few months just to have the extra vram for gaming at higher resolutions when I get a new monitor. Good job NVIDIA.

Uhhh that's been an option for some time now in WZ2. It's the best AA in the game imo.

Err were you talking WZ1? cause you said MW2 but then just WZ.

Why the random Elder Scrolls Online artwork at the end of the article?

Edit: I found out why, they put DLAA in the game a couple of years back: https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-elder-scrolls-online/nvidia-dlaa-update
ESO was actually the first game I tried it out in & was very impressed with the results. There's quite a lot of aliasing in that game & DLAA smoothed it out nicely at the cost of a little bit of sharpness of the textures. Definitely better than any other AA method in the game.
