Just a random guess, but maybe it's the miner program you are using? Try a different one?

You know yours is a non-LHR, right? They have not been sold for a while.

that's your laptops 'problem'... and who the heck installs drivers on battery power? it's like flashing a BIOS in a thunderstorm
Maybe, but the error message was still incorrect, saying the driver is incompatibile with the Windows version, instead of complaining about no NVIDIA GPU, which was very confusing. Knowing the new driver is designed to also work on Windows 11, at first I assumed it might be a newly introduced driver bug, but it's probably just an old bug.

Also, I don't see the problem with installing drivers on battery, as long as I have hours of battery life remaining. In fact, I would be more concerned about doing that on my desktop, since it doesn't currently have an UPS.
