NVIDIA GTX 970 Memory Class-action Claims Now Open

Honestly I don't understand why people get so worked up about this. The card was a fantastic card at a great price. While I don't agree with the false spec claims, I don't get why everyone needs a handout every time there is a small slipup in a product.

I dont have energy or patience to let the case in Indian court to run for next decade or so.

Exactly, and that is why NVIDIA won't compensate GTX 970 owners in India.

Its not about the card, it was never about it. Its about being honest about the specs. Don't and i mean never lie to your customer - VW is also a prime example.

But let me guess this and other websites are still going to call it a "4 GB Card" in benchmarks, further confusing consumers.

Um....because it is. Those that have owned one know that it is.

Geez no wonder Nvidia felt like they can pull this crap. Their own fanbase is so brainwashed they accept it.

Which fanbase is that? Do you not look at what people own in both specs and signature before you make uninformed comments? The whole world does not inhabit the world you do, in which someone has to be one side or the other. The whole thing is stupid and immature.

GTX 970 has 4GB of VRAM. Fact. I'm sorry that bothers you.

So if I tape 8GB of DDR4 to my card does it all of the sudden become a 12GB card?

Because that is basically what you are saying. The .5GB performs slower than the DDR3 in my MacBook, and the card is constantly fighting to not go over 3.5GB of usage.

The .5GB performs slower

Therefore it IS present. The deception was in the speeds of the VRAM portions, not in the total amount, which is 4.

i just got my settlement info in email form a few minutes ago. SUPER glad i got 2 Ref 970's now :)
