It's probably a bit early to be talking about a Pascal release since it looks like it will be Q4 this year or maybe Q1 2016 but for anyone that might have missed this have a look

It looks like Pascal is going to be a larger performance increase over Maxwell than Maxwell was over Kepler. 32 GB VRAM on the high end cards. :eek: Volta is back on the roadmap with possibly 64 GB VRAM. A high end Pascal will indeed be a beast!

Some say it will be server side only hopefully not!
PCIE 4.0 is a small increase (Despite being doubled) and is only available for Skylake-E for 2015

sorry guys, personally i don't get your excitement about future product.
For expml: in 2050 omg there will be massive gain in new gpu, will have thousand times faster memory, and 2048 cores cpu... IM SO EXCITED!!!
meanwhile... im on 8 years old PC, having problems with 720p playback hm :D

and its my laptop which is probably from 2005 or smtgh. pc is system spec has no trouble with few 1080p at the same time. anyway could use an update :) pascal maybe ....:p

You see it's nvidia overstating in the previous slide your noting that
makes me dubious about the time scales and spec on this release plus there is the obvious note that others will be further down the HBM road.

I have. Therefore, thinking about future, relatively unknown GPUs isn't on my excitement list. Especially since there's more gpus coming out before Pascal.

Yep we need to move away from chips :D

Nvidia will be using 2nd HBM and in order to have 32GB of vram you need 4 stacks so we could see 1TB/s :0

Consider me dubious.

I had internal slides promise me 10 SATA III connections and enough USB 2.0/3.0 on SB-E platforms that I'd never have needed to upgrade. What I got wasn't nothing, but it definitely wasn't what internal slides promised. I'll wait to see if Pascal is actually going to deliver anything like this, prior to initiating the hype train. Any other view is short sighted, and is likely to cause quite a bit of disappointment.
