NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce software. Version 577.00 WHQL comes with Game Ready optimization for "Wuchang: Fallen Feathers," including support for DLSS 4. The drivers also come with optimization for the latest Unreal Engine 5 update of "Valorant." The driver also adds DLSS Overrides, or the ability to override DLSS settings in NVIDIA App, for 11 new titles. This feature lets you take control of settings such as multi frame-generation overrides, upscaler models, frame-generation models, DLAA, and ultra-performance modes. NVIDIA App optimal settings have been added for three new titles, including Broken Arrow, Mecha Break, and PEAK. Among the issues fixed with this release are a bug with Counter-Strike 2 that causes black screens on 4:3 resolutions on the ASUS ROG PG27AQN monitor; and stability issues with Naraka Bladepoint on a specific map when using the DirectX 11 renderer and DLSS.

Man, just in time for WuChang Fallen Feathers to come out tomorrow too, great job Nvidia

It's odd that this driver doesn't include Killing Floor 3 considering it's releasing on Thursday...

Yes, but does it finally fix the intermittent black / blank screen on RTX30X0/40X0 cards?

Still on v.565.90, because at least it works.

Just Nvidia's way of telling people to upgrade.

I keep looking week to week with the hopes they will fix Control... no such thing. This sadness me.

DLSS4 overrides means that you can set it in the driver and "it just works™"? That's pretty nice.

These new drivers gave me my first unrecoverable Black Screen after installing. Never happened before

I literally have not experienced this once and I've been on nvidia since 572.xx something... I think that issue is long dead or hardware specific at this point.

I do get back flickering bars with fast sync over display refresh, but that's a separate, far less severe issue.

Uh oh, maybe I'd best be careful then... Will report back later today.

but you still bought a 5090..
I bought the 5090 prior knowing about the driver issues. They are certainly more stable than at launch. However, there is a game that I can't play because ray tracing seems to be hard broke on the 50 series on Control.

This is why I never update drivers, unless there's a problem with something.

I got 1 unrecoverable black screen what I first put in my 5090 but everything works fine after a restart, haven't got any black screen ever since.
Overall my gaming experience on 5090 has been perfectly smooth

Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Let other people be beta testers.

I'm already using 577.00, nothing special to report

Control with Maximum RT settings works just fine on Astral 5090 LC

No freezing or anything after playing for 5 minutes? I might have to PM you to figure out what in the hell is up then. I've done a million and a half things to fix this problem.

577 on a 5070ti no issues. Haven't upgraded on my 5090 but havent experienced any problems, havent had any problems with the 5000 series at all.

First time I see issues with my Control with the 577.00 driver, I get weird colour distortions, followed by stuttering at times and a hard lock on my machine. I will roll back later and try again.
