NVIDIA Releases GeForce 577.00 WHQL Game Ready Drivers

First time I see issues with my Control with the 577.00 driver, I get weird colour distortions, followed by stuttering at times and a hard lock on my machine. I will roll back later and try again.

I just wiped my entire computer and had the bare minimum. I don't know what happened or why, but every game looks so much better than it did before (Diablo/Marvel/etc). I installed Control and my god, it runs so smooth. I had everything thing on ultra to include RT. I was like this is heaven! Everything was great until I got to the mop dude - system hard crash. I give up. LoL

Mmmm, seems like the issue remains there with the .88 too after I rolled back, or at least, something stayed behind, even though I did a full DDU Uninstall, I also Uninstalled the 23/07/2025 Microsoft update that "coincidently" launched with the nGreedia driver on the same day, no change (KB5062660)

Anyways, nothing seems to take away the issue now, I can fairly replicate it easily, especially near the Board Room / Central Executive Control Point (Seen in my screenshots), you have to stand in the "Fog/Smoke" and pan the camera, some weird frame drops/stuttering, colour issues. Of course, the game uses PhysX, so, I wonder if RT doesn't play well with the PhysX smoke effect? Anyways

I don't know anymore, I give up, too much crap, and reporting on the nGreedia forums is a joke.

*Edit*
I think, I will wait for the Windows 11 25H2 to be released in October, I will do a clean Windows Install and see if things change for the better, but I sure as hell won't do that now and do it again in 2 months or so. lol

Thank you for actually taking the time to look into it as most will just say shut up AMD fanboy, there is nothing wrong with Nvidia drivers. Nguyen was able to replicate the problem as well and he shared a Digital Foundry video showing the problem on a 9070XT. This makes me wonder if its a problem with Control itself. /shrug

No worries; I reported it on the nGreedia forum anyway, maybe they will do something.

If I were nGreedia, I would work really, really close with game studios that use my RT/FG/MFG in their games, to make sure their products work well with my hardware. Can you imagine the amount of returns nGreedia gets because of bugs like this? Bugs that make it seem that you GPU is busted, when it's not.

Anyways, really hoping for the 25H2 to launch with a new nGreedia driver branch focused on the 5000 series. Hopefully by that time we will get our FrameWarp, Reflex 2.0 and with that fabled 2x RT performance increase.
