NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 551.46 that should fix stuttering issues in some scenarios. According to the release notes, the new hotfix driver fixes micro-stuttering in some games when vertical sync is enabled, as well as stuttering when scrolling in web browser. It also fixes stuttering issues on Advanced Optimus Notebooks when running Red Dead Redemption 2 under Vulkan API, and stability issues in Immortals of Aveum under extended gameplay.

The new GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 551.46 is based on the latest GeForce WHQL driver, version 551.23. You can download the new GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 551.46 over at NVIDIA's support page.

Different driver on 10 and 11, so chances are you won't have any more issues... Or at least not that issue. Amazes me so many are still clinging to 10 at this point.

It won't install, it tells me that I have incompatible hardware.

Clinging? What's wrong with W10? You get full full context menus when you right click? That bother you?

I did notice they broke Win10 updates about a month ago. Haven't been able to update any W10 machine since.

Clinging?

The OS is in active support for a number of years yet, and I have no reason to change from it.

I went back to an older driver since I got game freezes with previous one.
I may try a newer non-hotfix-beta version later.

Must be a Chromium bug because I was getting it as well for the last couple of months on MS Edge despite using a Radeon 6800XT card. Also, Firefox works perfectly fine.

Glad the bug is finally getting fixed but... I've been noticing this checkerboard pattern on occasion for years.

Me too. I've RMAed graphics cards because of this crap because I thought the VRAM was going bad.

Hi,
Don't use chromium browsers so No need for a bug I don't have
Hell the fix likely screws up firefox :fear:

Restoring legacy menus is a one-click fix on Windows 11, if you're bothered by pressing shift to bring it up instead of modern context...

I'll give this hotfix a try, it's for all regularly supported cards btw not just the 4080Super.

not always sitting up, sometimes leaning back and just want to right-click like I've been able to do for decades you know it. Don't know why I gotta be bothered at all. Adding extra clicks to something that didn't need it before is just backwards and not progression.
Is "modern context" what it's really referred to as? It's a bad use of nesting.

The new context menu on Windows 11 is "modern context", the old one is still present if you hold shift, but you can use Winaero Tweaker or change the registry key manually to make it go away permanently

one can really feel how nvidia shits on gamer since the ai surge. nvidia drivers are as terrible as ever right now since months. gameready driver often to late, rbar not enabled where it would help a lot, gpu utilisation not 100% without cpu limit like in cp 2077. ah yes but 900€ 70 cards

Look at the version number in the news post.
Then look at the version number in your installer.
Then think a little.

Slightly less than 2 years now
It will be nearer 2030, is already an ESU announced which makes sense as they maintaining the OS for LTSC anyway.

I am on 546.29 and happy with it until i buy i game that's unsupported i upgrade otherwise i don't.

You know what!? I still get tearing! W11 didn't fix it! I use 50" 4k HDR TV with HDMI 2.1 good fully loaded cable which let me use 12bit colour scheme when my TV is only 10 bit! And why I was using W10 is because last time I tried W11 about 6 months ago W11 was pice of garbage! even with My debloating to +-60 services at boot it was garbage \(*-*)/ but now after last update W11 + Debloating seems and feels smoother than W10

And I tried RTX Video Upscale and on my 4k TV I didn't notice any improvement but noticed high GPU usage and YouTube videos start loosing milion frames right away and crackling!
