OK guys,
This is VERY annoying and I've had this problem for the past year and no matter what drivers I upgrade to, the same problem comes up. This has transferred over to my SECOND build so I'm pretty sure it's not hardware related. Here is what I want to do:
- Simply right click on the desktop and left click on Nvidia Control panel to bring it up
HERE IS WHAT'S HAPPENING:
- Nvidia control panel does not *appear*
I say *appear* because if I go to task manager it's in there as a process but it will not show up.
THE CULPRIT:
- NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
Every time I END TASK on "NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component" the Nvidia control panel comes up but it crashes so I have to end task on it and then right click on the desktop to bring it up again.
As long as I END TASK on "NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component", Nvidia control panel appears. So I figure I'll just delete the "NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component" file (nvxdsync.exe) right???...... WRONG! If I do this, Nvidia control panel won't come up at all and I have to reinstall the drivers to get it back.
So I thought, "maybe it's another program in the background".
I disabled a bunch of other things in the task manager that I thought may be interfering with Nvidia control panel but no matter what I END TASKED, Nvidia control panel will not come up. The only thing that will work is if I end task on "NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component"
I've searched everywhere on google and this forum to see if anyone has a solution and so far I've come up dry... does anyone know how I can fix this?
Cheers and thanks
