So I did some further experimentation with lowering the multi to x9. I'm running at 333x9, still 3ghz but higher FSB, AND... my memory is more stable for some reason and I'm able to run it at 1066mhz at 5-5-5-15.

My first successful good overclock :). If I wanna hit 3.2ghz I guess I'm gonna have to install that scythe HSF, lol.

So, yeah, I was happy with my OC achievement, now I'm ecstatic. I'm getting better at OCing. All thanks to you guys.

Cheers, nice to hear you succeeded :) High multis give a nice playroom, to keep FSB low if not so good memory, or to go all out with a lower one and boost performance.

Tatty_One: yes, TAT showed high temps and coretemp shows high/low temps depending on version. Highest I've gone is 3.4GHz (obviously not stable) and don't expect 3,6GHZ to be either, just want to see it :) (probably next year when I'd finally get the new GPU)
