Just curious what I should see out of my 8370?

MSI990FXA board, Corsair H-105 cooler. EVGA Supernova PSU.

Case is the Corsair 760T with plenty of airflow.

I am running the OC Genie and it sets the clock at 4.3

What are some decent manual settings so I don't go and kill this board or CPU?

TIA for any and all ideas. :)

I've been running my 8350 at 4.8GHz and I think it's starting to go on me slightly (becoming less stable). I'd set voltage manually to something that feels safe and then clock it up until it starts giving you errors. Silicon lottery, man. Just have to clock it up and see what you get.

4.8 is pretty high end average. The 8370's in recent times I have been seeing hitting 4.9-5.1 with good enough cooling.

I only get a measly 4.7 Ghz on air with my 8320 using an antiquated Big Typhoon VX cooler

8350, LLC for 5.0+

I run my 8320 at 4.5 @ 1.325V I can go higher, its just not worth the increased temps and power consumption.

I was able to clock mine up to 4.5 Ghz without changing anything in BIOS on a 212 EVO w/ push / pull.
