Fellas, he's not the only one!!! I am OCing an X1300XR video card using Rivatuner, although I've tested this issue with ATItool beta 16 pre5, and my clock speed resets after running the following apps:Battlefield 2142 or 2, Windows Media Player--even if I'm just listening to music! I am running Catalyst 6.10, and I'm thinking of trying the Omega drivers as soon as 6.10 comes out. The weird thing is, that in Quake 4, the overclocked core speed is retained. The EXACT time that the core resets in BF2142 is IMMEDIATELY after I run the .exe file (when the EA and DICE logos run), so I know that the issue isn't that the driver is resetting itself due to overheating. Furthermore, I am able to retain the OCed core clock if I alt+tab out of BF2142, then set the desired clock speed, the alt+tab back in and play. The speed keeps as long as I want, even after I exit. This being said, it is obvious that there is some kind of setting that manifests itself immediately when the game is launched. Anyone know what this setting is and how to fix it? I've used driver cleaner to clean my drivers, then install the 6.10 drivers about three or four times, so I've made sure to isolate the variables that I'm testing to find the root of the problem, so please don't tell me that my card is overheating, etc. I've posted this message on many forums, such as Guru3d, Overclock.net, forums.tweakguides.com, and MANY other people with ATI cards have this issue with Battlefield 2142. So if you can crack this one, you will make many people happy, as I will inform them through my other posts.
